Materials & Components
- Torsion test stand of the company MTS
- Travel: 120mm
- 5kN - 25 kN Axial
- Power: 150 Nm
- Supplemented by knee test stand (normal + small hydraulic cylinder with approx. 445 N)
- Measurement technology:
- NDI: Electromagnetic tracking system Aurora V3 System
- Digitimer Ltd: Neuro Log System NL905
The biaxial test rig has a self-designed bearing arrangement which allows a bearing arrangement free of lateral forces.
For design reasons only tensile load is possible, no compressive load.
The x-axis is freely suspended and can be balanced.
The control is carried out via controller and software from MTS.
Vertical axis:
- Power: 500kN
- Travel : 200 mm
Horizontal axis:
- capacity: 150 kN
- Travel: 120mm
Tensile and compression tests with 22 kN.
Video extensiometer: ME46-155
Displayable change in length in measurement direction 1:196608 (more than 1:17 bit) of the camera's field of view. The free selection of the object distance and, if necessary, the lens focal length results in an optimal adaptation to the required measuring range or to the field of view. Thus, deformation experiments on very small objects (e.g. tensile/compression tests with L0 = 5 mm) as well as measurements with extremely large measuring lengths (e.g. L0 = 2000 mm) are possible. To change the measuring range, normally only an extension or shortening of the object width (moving the camera) is necessary. If this is not sufficient or if the space conditions do not allow it, it is possible to work with an interchangeable lens or a zoom lens. After a change of the camera position, recalibration is only necessary in case of absolute extension measurement (time required is about 20 seconds!).
Digital integration:
The VIDEOEXTENSOMETER is integrated via an R 232 interface or Ethernet. S
Analogue integration:
In this case the VIDEOEXTENSOMETER is integrated via a digital/analog converter.
